Robert Lucy paints most every day and has been for over twenty-five years.
He studied with the painter Ed Paschke at Northwestern University and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA, 1988) and Masters (MFA, 1990) in Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Since 2012, he has divided his studio time between working on commissioned portraits as well as his personal series of paintings which includes large-scale landscapes and ’70s TV icons.
Robert and his husband, Chris Wells, are co-founders of The Secret City, and live as artists-in-residence at the The Byrdcliffe Artists Colony in Woodstock, New York.
